I have a 7 year old Lhasa Apso who's mate passed away a few weeks ago. Should we get another dog to

We originally had three dogs. The Lhasa being the youngest and always having fun playing with her mates. We need to be away from home on occasion for many hours and I worry that she is lonely. Is it better for her to get another dog (adult or puppy) to keep her company?

Does she seem unhappy? Do you have the time to take care of another dog? Do you want another dog? If you decide to get another, an adult might be the better choice. Work with a rescue that will let you bring your dog along to meet the prospective play mate to be sure they get along and like each other. Make sure your current dog doesn’t feel left out once a new dog moves in. Good Luck, we are sorry for your recent loss.
