How do you make the connection in the dog's brain between their learned alert behaviors and signs of

My dog seems to already know how to respond to my moods, as she tends to get extremely clingy when I'm sad. She's learned a bunch of the alert behaviors including grounding (laying across my lap), touch my knee, touch my hand, perform alert behaviors despite being surrounded by lots of people, etc. Now my question is... How do you make the connection in the dog's mind between the alert behaviors and the episodes? I have severely disabling PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. I'm weirdly really good with dog training, but this is the one thing I haven't figured out yet.
