Hi I'm new here but desperate for information

My 8 month old Catahoula was just neutered and just days after the surgery started becoming wobbly and incontinent. Long story short he's been to a neurologist,   had an MRI and spinal tap. They say it's autoimmune meningitis and is on perdisone and cyclosporine as well as antibiotics. It's been over 2 weeks and no change. He has no pain anywhere, eating the whole time like a horse. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I would ask the vet if its normal for the drugs to take this long to work.   There may be another issue or you may need a second opinion
