Our Airedale will be one year next month. He sleeps in a crate in our bedroom, and in the middle of the night he howls in his sleep. This happens almost twice a week. We just call his name and get him to wake up a little, and it stops.I wanted to know if anyone else experiences this.

Our dog does this sometimes as well. Usually after a long day in the forest. I would call them dreams more than nightmares though, because the behavior usually happens after she's had tons of fun. In my opinion I would not worry, This has happened less and less as the dog gets older (she is 2 now).
