Dear Dogster reader,

Almost two years ago, we invested numerous resources and rebuilt the Dogster community. With new hardware, software and personnel, we did our best to satisfy the many users who shared their thoughts, pictures, questions, and love for and of their pets with us and friends. It was a thriving community with many users. We hoped, however, there would be more like you.

Times and habits have changed and we are sad to announce that the Dogster community will be closing down on July 20, 2019.

Dogster magazine, and the associated social media sites are NOT shutting down. We encourage you to continue reading the content found in the pages of the magazine and the web sites, commenting through the mechanisms provided and sharing your ideas and comments with us and your fellow readers.

Instructions for accessing pet profiles were shared with everyone in 2017. The instructions can be found within the forum. AFTER JULY 20TH, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THIS CONTENT. And, effective immediately, we are no longer able to answer questions about the community.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to serving you through our magazine and website.

I was told he is American bulldog, but I think he might be mixed. With what though? Boxer?

Hi Chewy. I looked at the photos of you on your page, and I don't see much evidence of the squashed-up snout of a boxer, or a bull-dog. You have the brindle markings which are common in breeds like boxer, American bull and even in greyhounds, but your snout and ears look hound-like. If your nose lengthens even more, which it might, it might make you look like a lurcher. Lurcher is an English term for crosses involving greyhound or whippet. Actually, you just look adorable, and I hope you continue to be a smart and happy boy.

I don't see any Bullie in him either, but he's so cute! Maybe boxer or a touch of beagle, just based on his face shape.

He is so cute! I do NOT see any Bullie or Boxer, no way. I think he's a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Labrador mix, with a touch of Greyhound.

I don't see any bullie breeds in him at all. I would say a Greyhound/lab mix. They probably just told you American bulldog because he is brindle but many other breeds are brindle also. He is adorible!

although he is beautiful, i doubt very much that he is an american bulldog-he doesn't have the bulldog feartures even if he was part bulldog-dont know if this is available where you are but here in australia you can get a DNA test to find out what breeds your dog has in him. hope that helps.cheers
