Dear Dogster reader,

Almost two years ago, we invested numerous resources and rebuilt the Dogster community. With new hardware, software and personnel, we did our best to satisfy the many users who shared their thoughts, pictures, questions, and love for and of their pets with us and friends. It was a thriving community with many users. We hoped, however, there would be more like you.

Times and habits have changed and we are sad to announce that the Dogster community will be closing down on July 20, 2019.

Dogster magazine, and the associated social media sites are NOT shutting down. We encourage you to continue reading the content found in the pages of the magazine and the web sites, commenting through the mechanisms provided and sharing your ideas and comments with us and your fellow readers.

Instructions for accessing pet profiles were shared with everyone in 2017. The instructions can be found within the forum. AFTER JULY 20TH, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THIS CONTENT. And, effective immediately, we are no longer able to answer questions about the community.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to serving you through our magazine and website.

An answer to your question would be MaxCat. My cats LOVE the chicken and liver, and there are large size cans for $1.05 in that flavor, oceanfish, turkey, senior and chicken and lamb. Smaller cans are chinks and gravy and come in 10 different flavors to choose from, plus two for kittens at about 90 cents per can. They don't contain by-products and are made in the U.S. They are available in all major pet supply stores and chains, so check it out. All of their foods are 100% satisfaction guaranteed, or your $$ back! ^_^ -PNS for The Nutro Company, Franklin, TN

Have you tried mixing half and half with the different foods. If he ties for it you save 50%. I mix dry in with wet so that I can save money. 5 cats and 3 dogs.

Yup, I agree with you.Try mixing other cat foods with other cat foods.I tried that on my cat too.It worked really well. Now if I don't mix the cat foods he won't eat anything.I've mixed Royal Canin and iams and my cat really loves the cat food combination..Try mixing does two cat foods maybe it'll work.

    So.. maybe Felix? Or whiskers?

  • I also have a spoiled cat who eats very expensive food... I thought about it recently and after they received an outstanding vet report I realized it was worth it to me to keep them healthy for as long as possible - but it is expensive! Perhaps feed them a little less expensive food each day and leave out good quality dry food sometimes to see if they will supplement for the new food and at least you would have less of the high end food each day to feed them? I do this (although I also picked a high end dry lol). It works when they realize you will keep ignoring them when they beg. I split a small can into several small meals and treats each day. :-)
